Test It Tuesday-Soft Scrub Mold and Mildew Stain Remover Gel

When I was given the opportunity to review Soft Scrub Mold and Mildew Stain Remover Gel I jumped at it. My apartment was built in the early seventies. The bathroom has never been remodeled and there is no exhaust fan. Therefore, the mold and mildew gets pretty disgusting over the winter no matter how often it gets cleaned, and I DREAD cleaning it. I am very sensitive to smells. Bleach and similar smells make me very ill. So, I usually spray the ceiling before I leave to go somewhere and wipe it down when I return. I was prepared to do the same with this product.

I sprayed it and was amazed I only caught a very faint odor! It was not bothersome at all. I also absolutely love the fact that it sticks where you spray it so you don’t have to remove items from the bathroom before spraying if you aren’t spraying in that particular area. Usually I take out all the toothbrushes and hair brushes. The product is simple to use. Spray it 6-8 inches away from the surface. Rinse and/or wipe it down with a wet sponge. If you have a tougher stain, let it sit a minute or two.  [Read more...]

Test It Tuesday-Bubblews

First, let me say I am new to the Bubblews site so it’s likely I will do a follow up on this post in the near future. It seems as if Bubblews is making its rounds on Facebook and word is getting out. It is a fairly new site where you can write and earn by people viewing, liking, and commenting on your material. There is only a 400 character minimum requirement for each submission, but quite honestly, if you are looking to make it meaningful, stick with a few hundred words rather than characters. I have also read plagiarism has been an issue. Plagiarism is STEALING. Don’t do it on Bubblews or anywhere else. There is no place for you if you can’t be original. If you are unsure if your content is original, check it on Copyscape.com.

Here is how Bubblews works:

1. Sign up and peruse the website to learn all about how it works. Make sure you read the bank section where the rules are stated. They are pretty simple to adhere to, but you need to be aware.

2. Write your content (You can submit up to 10 articles a day). [Read more...]

Test It Tuesday-Purex Natural Elements

Once again, as a Purex Insider I had the privilege of trying another great new product. I received Purex Natural Elements  with a tropical splash scent. I was slightly worried the scent would be too strong for me as I am very sensitive. However, it wasn’t only pleasant but I found I absolutely love the scent. It reminds me of the smell of a baby for some reason, nonetheless it smells great. It also did a great job on the clothes. What makes this particular Purex product different?

-Biodegradable formula

-Fresh, nature inspired fragrance

-Hypoallergenic and free of dyes

-Gentle on sensitive skin [Read more...]

Test It Tuesday-Soft Scrub 4-in-1 Toilet Care

Soft Scrub 4-in-1 Toilet Care

Have I mentioned lately how much I love being a Purex Insider? Once again, as an insider I was given an opportunity to try a great new product. I was sent Soft Scrub 4-in-1 Toilet Care to test out. Who gets excited about toilet care you ask? This girl! I am on a well system and my toilet gets nasty hard water stains. I have to clean it at least twice a week. If I have time for nothing else, there are three things I NEVER let go and that is the dishes, trash, and most of all the toilet! I have tried many products and honestly, several have worked well. However, I have been on the hunt for a product I can use and the results last more than a day or two (realizing it’s more the nasty hard water than the product being inferior). What excites me most about Soft Scrub 4-in-1 Toilet Care is being able to hang it on the side of the toilet and not having to scrub. [Read more...]

Test It Tuesday-Free Country Men’s Guide 3-in-1 Systems Jacket

It may be spring, but I was still thrilled to get a chance to review a Free Country jacket. My son and I have new jackets, but my husband’s jacket is several years old and quite frankly an ugly pea green. He hikes a lot so a well-made jacket is a real need. I had planned on saving up for one for next winter when this opportunity came along.

We chose the navy blue Men’s Guide 3-in-1 Systems Jacket. The outer and inner jacket can be separated which is wonderful for spring when it is still cool and often wet, but not bitter cold. The outer jacket is full of convenient pockets and is wind and water resistant with a fleece lining. The inner jacket is a soft lightweight quilt. The hood is detachable as well. This is a sturdy heavy jacket. I couldn’t get over the weight. However, it’s important to mention when wearing the outer jacket alone, it will stand up to the weather but isn’t so heavy that it is bulky and uncomfortable. [Read more...]
