Fun times at Liquid Planet

I previously mentioned some great southern NH attractions and that I would go into further detail into each. Because they are closing for the season on Labor Day, I wanted to be sure and check out Liquid Planet (Candia, NH) asap! I was forewarned if you are heading to Liquid Planet with a carload of teens, they aren’t going to get what they expect with the fancy and super big water slides. It is the 12 and under crowd who will appreciate the family friendly park the most. I found this to be the case for the most part.

However, if you know upfront what to expect it isn’t to say if there is an older teen with you they can’t have fun. There are still things to do. Liquid Planet has mini-golf, a zip line, and the big water slide would be fun for a teen. There is also small man-made lake where I found some teens relaxing and having fun.

My husband, 13 year old son and I went. The weather was great at 80 degrees or so and just enough cloud cover so the sun wasn’t beating down, yet warm enough to be around water. My son did the zip line and loved it. He highly recommends giving it a try. We didn’t try the golf on this visit. Most of our fun was watching the young kids have a great time. Per a recommendation, we made sure to try out the Shaker Pond ice cream sold at Liquid Planet. It was quite good as well.

The good news is they have a few events in the fall of 2012 including the Zumbathon on September 9th from 12-4 p.m. (includes Zumba and unlimited access to the park). It benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
