Are you missing money? You could be and not even realize it! Perhaps you have a small inheritance sitting around from a distance relative, an old security deposit,money in an old bank account, or you overpaid on your heating oil (like I did) etc. There is a website available to find money you could be missing. Missingmoney.com allows you to check states and provinces to see if you are on the list. Be sure and check out every state (or province) you have lived in or dealt with. I had missing money in Maine. WhenI overpaid on my heating oil I lived in New Hampshire; the oil company was out of Maine. That was almost $250 I was able to add to my savings account. Be sure and check all the names you have used as well (maiden names etc.).
Adding missing money to your savings is a great way to build up your emergency fund! I recommend checking it yearly. I can only speak for myself, but I received the check for my missing money in about two weeks!
