Savings Saturday-Earning Extra Income

Earning extra income will allow you to pay down debt and accumulate an emergency fund a lot faster. No matter how busy you are there are many ways to earn a few extra bucks even if you don’t have time to leave the house to work a second or third job. Here are just a few ideas (including a few I have mentioned in the past):

-Take surveys-There are several legitimate survey sites available that allow you to earn money. My favorites are Epoll and Pinecone Research. You definitely won’t get rich off of these, but many people earn a hundred or so extra bucks a month by signing up for several survey sites.

-Blogging-Again, don’t expect to get rich, but with a lot of hard work, a decent blogger can make a few hundred dollars a month if not more.

-Freelance writing-If you don’t want to blog, you can still freelance if you can write well. Check out sites such as Elance, com, Fiverr.com, etc.

-Virtual Assistant-This is becoming more and more popular as many companies are doing a great deal of business online. Many bigger bloggers are also looking for virtual assistants these days.

-Ebay/Craigslist-Sell unwanted items and make a few extra bucks (or more if you have a lot to get rid of)

-Sell crafts-I am not crafty so I don’t know all of the resources, but I do know Etsy.com is a popular place to post and sell crafts.

-Mystery shopping-I did a recent post with more details on this. If you can pay close attention to detail, this would work out well.

These are just a few of hundreds of possibilities for earning extra income. All are a great way to build up savings. The sky is the limit if you can channel your inner entrepreneurial spirit!
