Savings Saturday-Cut Out a Restaurant Meal

Another easy way to save money every month is to cut out a restaurant or fast food meal each month. Many of us don’t eat out often, but I am sure the majority eat out at least two to three times a month. Cut out just one of those meals and take the money you save and put it in your savings account. Not only will you save money, you will probably save calories as well.

Look at your past receipts. If you don’t have them, estimate what it cost you to eat out. Even cutting out one fast food meal will save a family $10-$25 or so. After twelve months that is $120-$260 you have added to your emergency fund. Not too shabby! I would love to hear if any of you try this and how it works out.
