Monday Musing-Today Has Been One Heckuva Week

Have you ever had one of those days where it just feels like it has lasted an entire week? Every day last week was one of those days, and this week really isn’t looking any better. What I don’t understand is how can a day last THAT long and yet not give me any extra hours to accomplish all that I need to do in my overworked schedule? It is just baffling to me.

I would propose we start a petition to add a couple extra hours to the day, or even an extra day to the week, just so that I can get some free time. Unfortunately, knowing my boss, she would just assume the extra time has been added to give me more work hours. One of the things that I really hate about being self employed is that my boss can get away with being a slave driver and expecting way too much from me.

New Hampshire Covered Bridges

Photo property of Laura Shea

As previously stated, I am going to start writing about the area I live in and have come to love since I first moved here in 1998. I live in New Hampshire and absolutely love it and the surrounding New England area.

My husband and I do a lot of day trips in the car. For the price of a tank of gas, we spend a few hours (sometimes the whole day) driving to different destinations in New Hampshire or other New England states. One of our ideas last summer (We were trying to save money so we gave up a regular vacation) was to go find the covered bridges in New Hampshire.

A little internet research brought us to a site that listed them all (a good map will note them as well). With over 50 covered bridges spread throughout the state it is a great way to see the beauty of New England. If you are planning on visiting and touring the area, I highly recommend taking a tour of some of the beautiful covered bridges in the state.  With proper planning, you can cover several bridges in a couple of hours (Western and Northern New Hampshire tend to hold the majority of the bridges). You can find the list of bridges and their locations here.
