The plural form for most nouns requires adding the letter s to the end of the word. Examples include: boys, tables, and dollars.
However, if the noun ends in ch, s, s like sounds, or x the plural form requires -es.
- ditches
- Joneses
- passes
- boxes
As always there are other exceptions including:
- child becomes children
- tooth becomes teeth
- mouse becomes mice
- deer remains deer
- person becomes people
Since there are even more exceptions to talk about, this topic will be continued next week.
