I love my crock pot. I love it so much that I bought myself a bigger one for Christmas. You throw ingredients into it in the morning, plug it in, and have a hot meal waiting for you when you get home from work. The crock pot opens a whole world of culinary possibilities for those who have limited time to devote to cooking.
One of my favorite things, isn’t even a recipe really. Fryer chickens are an incredibly inexpensive way to get chicken into your family’s diet. Put a fryer chicken in your crock pot without adding any water or anything and cook it on low. In a few hours, you have a fully cooked chicken that you can use for casseroles, chicken fajitas, chicken helper, whatever your imagination chooses. You also have a cup or two of chicken broth, no need to buy a can of broth when a recipe calls for it. You can always freeze the broth until you need it.
I had planned to recommend a free crock pot cookbook ebook, called Circle of Friends Cookbook – 25 Slow Cooker Recipes
. Unfortunately it is no longer free, but gives you some great crock pot ideas. You can also search the web for crock pot recipes, there are tons out there.

I got a crockpot for Christmas! My hubby does most of the cooking, but I'm hoping to start the crockpot in the mornings to help out.
So, no water?
Thanks!
