I have been wanting to write this post for a long time. I have put it off because I am afraid of alienating my fellow bloggers (or anyone who reads this post). First, let me say this post isn’t to “pick on” anyone. I hope this post helps us all to be more careful and proofread our work (or have someone do it). I am not writing this as a “plug” for my proofreading and editing business (although it is available) either. My purpose is to give tips to my fellow bloggers. Please don’t be offended.

The misuse of word(s) is also very common. Although a great program, Microsoft Word (and other programs like it) are not capable of catching all mistakes. Below are the words I see most frequently misused:

two, too, to: Two is a number, too means also, and to expresses direction.
